The Nutcracker, a Canadian Tradition is choreographed by renowned choreographer and Artistic Director of Canada’s Ballet Jörgen, Bengt Jörgen, and takes its inspiration from Group of Seven paintings housed at Kleinburg’s world-renowned McMichael Canadian Art Collection.  The magical dream journey begins on Christmas Eve 1912 in Bisset, Ontario where newly arrived Klara experiences winter landscapes filled with snowflakes, lumberjacks, Mounties and creatures of the woods.  Canada’s Ballet Jörgen’s The Nutcracker, A Canadian Tradition is a national treasure suitable for all ages.

Ballet Jörgen performs The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition at Hamilton Place on Saturday, December 6th at 2 p.m.  For tickets visit hecfi.ca (coreentertainment.ca) or call – 1-855-872-5000.
