The opening of the Valeska Ramsay Exhibition took place at at McMaster Innovation Park on Thursday, March 31 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Nineteen students enrolled in Dr. Alison McQueen’s fourth year seminar class, The History of Collecting” selected sixty-three pieces from the collection of Hamilton collector, Valeska Ramsay and produced an exhibition catalogue to accompany the show.  Each piece chosen for the catalogue was photographed and accompanied with a profile citing provenance and artist biography.

Said Professor McQueen, “”This exhibition of Valeska Ramsay’s private art collection offer an unprecedented look at Hamilton through its artistic heritage, oral and written histories.”

The exhibition continues at McMaster Innovation Park through to July 13th.  For further information on the Val Ramsay exhibition please contact ajmcq@mcmaster.ca
