The Three Amigos Donn, Tammy and Paul get ready for the Carnegie Hoedown

The wagons will be circling in Troy on Saturday, June 27th, with spurs polished and shirts and bandannas pressed for a toe-tapping, knee-slapping time at the Carnegie Hoedown, a fundraiser to support the ongoing programming activities of the Carnegie Gallery in Dundas.

The cornucopia of “wild west” activities commence at Donn Zver Pottery at 4 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, June 27, and feature a great pig roast, chicken dinner, live and silent auction, card magic, an old fashioned saloon, a casino, country wagon rides and The Smoke Wagon Blues Band.

Said Donn Zver, Carnegie Board member and chair of the Carnegie Hoedown Committee, “The Smoke Wagon Blues Band was nominated for best blues recording at this year’s Hamilton Music Awards. We are thrilled to have them perform for the folks.”
Zver continued, “There’ll be country wagon rides through Troy, a silent and live auction with antiques, an indoor old fashioned saloon with the appropriate saloon artwork over the bar, an outdoor beer garden, dancing, scrumptious food with a pig roast, a strolling singer in the garden, and fireworks at 11 p.m.”

The Carnegie Hoedown takes place in Troy on Saturday, June 27 from 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Lasso the date!
Tickets to The Carnegie Hoedown are $95.00 with a $50.00 tax receipt per ticket. Tickets are available at The Carnegie Gallery, 905-627-4265, Bryan Prince Bookseller, 905-528-4508, and Donn Zver Pottery, 519-647-2117.
