Departure lounge art display captures spirit of Bruce Trail

You may forgive air travellers waiting for their plane in Hamilton if they drift off and temporarily think they’ve been transported somewhere else. That’s because the departure lounge at the Hamilton airport located in Mount Hope is the scene of a new art display dedicated to the Niagara Escarpment and Bruce Trail.

“We wanted to give people something to look at,” said Allyson Wenzowski from Publicity Works, the project’s administration manager.

An official launch of the new gallery was held Thursday (Feb. 11) and was attended by many of the artists and photographers whose work now graces the waiting rooms walls, nooks, crannies and even spaces between steel beams.
