In what has become an annual tradition Ballet Jörgen is once again performing the holiday classic The Nutcracker; a Canadian Tradition at FirstOntarioCentre on Saturday, December 9th a 2 pm. The ballet is also celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. Dancer Hanna Mae Cruddas spoke to CHCH’s Tim Bolen about the performance.
As with many of Canada’s Ballet Jörgen’s major productions, The Nutcracker: A Canadian Tradition is designed to include young dancers from the Hamilton area. The local participant program provides the opportunity for young and aspiring dancers to perform alongside members of the professional company and gain invaluable performance experience.
