For Dundas artist Alison Sawatzky 2015 is a year of exciting new  happenings!  In May she had a successful solo exhibition at St. James Church on Melville Street, at the end of June she retired from a teaching career at the Lee Academy, and in October her studio will  feature as a new studio tour location on the immensely popular Dundas Studio Tour.   For the Dundas Studio Tour Ms. Sawatzky will show  a variety of watercolour monoprints.

Ms. Sawatzky also work in oils, acrylic, drafting pen, and traditional water colour and enjoys combining pen and chalk pastel with her water colour paintings.    She is a member of the Hamilton Arts Council and the Women’s Art Association of Hamilton, and shows her work regularly in both solo and juried shows.

For the 2015 Dundas Studio Tour  Ms. Sawatzky will  have a series of prints for sale that range in size from 4″ x 6″ to 16″ x 24″ with both framed and unframed pieces available.       Also showing with Ms. Sawatzky at her Autumn Leaf Road Studio, Location 6 on the Studio Tour map, are woodturner George Wilkinson, fibre artist Sue Firkser, knitwear designer Terenya Breeds, and fine artist Marnie Dallan.
