The Original Studio Tour in York Region

Thornhill, the community where art really lives in the heart, is getting ready for York Region’s original studio tour, the Thornhill Visual Artists Studio Tour and Sale, now celebrating its thirteenth anniversary this Mother’s Day Weekend.

Each May, the Thornhill Visual Artists join together to produce a uniquely professional spring tour. On Mother’s Day weekend twelve of the area’s finest artists will open their doors to the public to disclose their creative living spaces and exquisite works of art. Tour goers get to see award-winning artists at home in creative play, share their own creativity experiences with the artists, and view and purchase unique art in a variety of media, and price ranges.

Artists on the Thornhill Visual Artists Studio Tour and Sale for Mother’s Day weekend are Annette Blady Van Mil, Al Van Mil, Esther Rachel Silver, Lezlie Winemaker, Heather Cullity, Sam Waldner, Richard Kalmin, Bill Beard, Margaret Roseman, Jeremy Bortz, Maxine Tyndall and Gary Wein.

The Thornhill Visual Artists Studio Tour and Sale provides the perfect opportunity for Tour goers to experience dynamic and exciting creativity in the intimacy of the artist’s home, to talk with the artist in the coziness of a home studio setting, and allows the viewing of a great variety of pieces in various sizes and prices. To experience dynamic creativity, meet friends and family, see and buy beautiful works of art, and learn about the thriving multicultural community of Thornhill, the Thornhill Visual Artists Studio Tour and Sale is a must.

The Thornhill Visual Artists Studio Tour and Sale, the original studio tour in York Region, is the perfect way to spend the Mother’s Day weekend, treat yourself, and treat that special Mom. The Tour runs Friday, May 8, noon to 5 pm, Saturday, May 9 and Sunday, May 10 from 10 am to 5 pm. Admission to each studio is free.
